Lednice is a romantic chateau surrounded by a charming French-style park. The chateau is a part of Lednice-Valtice complex and it is the most beautiful building there. No wonder that it is listed as a UNESCO heritage. The chateaus appearance which we can see today, dates to 1846-1858, when Prince Alois II decided that Lednice is the ideal place for summer fun. The chateau was rebuilt into a summer palace. The Original Lednice chateau, resembling more a fortress, was standing there since 13th century.
Walk around this beautiful place, enjoy a lake and gardens full of flowers a find out more about the life in the castle. If you will look properly, over the lake, you will see a minaret. With its 60m high it is the highest minaret in Europe.
Lednice lies only 1-hour drive from Bratislava and together with the guide you will see two tours in chateau (there is a possibility of several tours around the castle, the combination of 2 tours depends on the time of the arrival). In the end we will give you free time to make some nice pictures and after you will have a chance to taste a glass of South Moravian wine.
